We value your privacy and employ the most secure method to protect it: collecting no data at all! All file transfers conducted via Wire2.me take place on a "Peer-to-Peer" (P2P) basis. Your files and connection logs never pass through or get stored on our servers. No personal data is retained in our system.
Our file transfer system is built on a "zero-knowledge" architecture. All file and text transfers are end-to-end encrypted directly within your browser before being sent over the network. Our servers merely facilitate the initial WebRTC connection handshake; they never access or store your encryption keys or file contents.
Wire2.me is an open, free service designed entirely for personal use. When using our service, it is essential that the system be used for personal purposes and in compliance with the law. Wire2.me accepts absolutely no liability for any damages that may arise from your use of this service.
Information We Collect:
We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising trackers. To understand overall traffic, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not build personal profiles. As our network provider, Cloudflare processes your IP address to deliver the site; we only use the country derived from it to pre-select your language.
Connection & Network Data:
To establish a direct connection, devices exchange network addresses (WebRTC ICE candidates) through our signaling server. These are relayed in memory only and are never logged. Your IP address is never shown to the other device in the interface. Wires and their temporary access tokens are deleted automatically when the wire closes.
Data we absolutely do not collect:
- We do not store your files, file transfer history, or encrypted data fragments on any server or cloud database.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing activities.
- We do not track your file transfer history.
Personal data must remain strictly "personal."
